Dogs welcome!

Herefordshire is fantastic walking country – that’s why we welcome up to *two dogs at each of the holiday cottages at Thatch Close Cottages. That includes all breeds – as long as they’re friendly, well-behaved, play well with others and you follow the doggy rules below. That way everyone gets to enjoy their holiday.

All of the holiday cottages have an enclosed garden. There’s also 12 acres of beautiful private grounds, including fields of organic grassland, to roam and explore together. So we’re pretty confident your dog will love it here as much as you do! Please note that although the hedges are 130cm plus, the grounds are not yet totally secure.

Doggy rules

  • Do not leave dogs alone in the property unless it is crated.
  • Only assistance dogs are welcome in the bedrooms of our cottages.
  • Please do not allow dogs on the sofa unless there is a cover in place.
  • Please use poop bags to pick up after your dogs and dispose of the bags in the separate bin provided.
  • We do not keep livestock at Thatch Close Cottages, so well-behaved dogs can be off the lead on our own grounds. However dogs must be kept on a lead in the neighbouring fields.

There is an additional charge of £10 per dog per week. Simply add in how many dogs you are bringing during the booking process.

*We may be able to accept more dogs per property (up to 4) by prior arrangement.

Thank you.

It’s not just humans who are welcomed with a hamper, we provide a Doggy Holiday Package too.

  • Dog cage approx. 3’x 2’x2’
