Uncover a Tree Top Adventure for Junior Tarzans. Release your little monkeys onto a Go Ape course designed for them. No one loves adventure more than kids!

A fun filled experience of canopy exploring, trail blazing and obstacles for all to enjoy. You'll take on crossings over trails and finish with one awesome zip wire. Our outdoor adventure is for all abilities so explorers can uncover the forest canopy from 6 years (over 1m)!

Tree Top Junior is aimed at Mini Tarzans aged between 6 and 12 years old.

A wide range of hire bikes are available for all ages and abilities, from learner cyclists to full on downhill racers and everything in between; including a full variety of adapted bikes.

Cycle trails for all abilities depart from our doorstep – from the fabulous 10 mile Family Trail, to the more challenging Verderers' and Freeminers cross-country trails and a wide range of full-on downhill tracks – there is literally riding for everyone!

Fantastic riders cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, serving home made food, snacks and great coffees. We welcome muddy bikers, walkers, kids and dogs – warm up in front of the fire with a mug of tea and one of our legendary cakes.

Bike shop carries a huge range of bike clothing, safety equipment, parts and accessories and our fully qualified mecahnics have everything in the workshop to mend your bike and keep you riding.

Forest Bushcraft

Forest Bushcraft offers the highest quality of bushcraft experience and education by exploiting the vast wealth of natural resources, beautiful scenery and historic landscape of the Royal Forest of Dean. We teach all aspects of bushcraft with a friendly and enthusiastic approach.

Bushcraft is about surviving and thriving in the natural environment, and the acquisition of ancient skills and knowledge to do so. Bushcraft skills include; firecraft, tracking, hunting, fishing, shelter building, the use of tools such as knives and axes, foraging, hand-carving wood, container construction from natural materials, rope and twine-making, and many others. These are the skills used by our ancestors that enabled them to become one with the landscape in which they lived.

Our instructors provide a wealth of knowledge stemming from many years of experience in teaching bushcraft skills, hunting, fishing, tracking, foraging, expeditions to various countries as well as leading outdoor pursuit’s instruction including canoeing, kayaking, climbing and cave exploration.

Clearwell Caves

Ancient Iron Mines

A natural cave system mined for iron ore for over 4,500 years and now makes a great underground experience for all the family. The caverns are very atmospheric; nine large caverns are open to the public, linked by winding passageways.

For the more adventurous visitor, small groups can go deeper into the workings to explore parts of the 600 acres of workings beyond the public area.
